Call the Microtell Inn & Suites in Moorhead to take advantage of discounted rates of $109.99 for a Double or $119.99 for a King suite. Limited number of rooms available for these rates! Price is good for 10/8/2026 - 10/10/2026 if you would like to come a day early, but a two night stay is not required. There is a shuttle service to and from the venue with this hotel! Microtell Inn has an official check-in time of 3:00 PM but if you are traveling on Thursday, it is highly recommended to request early arrival to give you time to drop luggage, freshen up and catch the shuttle to the venue. The shuttle will run from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM and can hold 11 passengers at a time. There will be a sign up sheet at the front desk.
The below additional hotels are the couple's recommendation based on location and quality. There are no special rates nor shuttles from these hotels. The links open in a new window.
There are many other beautiful hotels and AirBNBs available in Fargo, ND. We strongly advise to stay away from the Bison Inn, Econo Lodge, Rodeway Inn and Baymont by Wyndham/Vista Inn.
Is there anything to do in Fargo?
If you come to town early or stay an extra day, you will be able to fill the time with plenty of historic places to visit, restaurants to try and other activities. Check out the celebrity walk of fame and actual woodchipper from the 1996 movie at the Fargo/Moorhead Visitors Center, see one of the oldest Dairy Queen franchise locations (where the Dilly Bar was invented!) in Moorhead, or check out one of the many breweries, distillers and wineries in the area. Bring the kids to fun destinations like King Pins bowling/arcade, Slick City indoor slide park, NRG Adventure Park or indoor playgrounds at Rustad Recreation Center. Active destinations like include indoor rock climbing at Fargo Climbing, pickleball at Courts & Pints, pick a few apples and do some bird watching at Orchard Glen Park or stroll through any of the hundreds of parks and trails along the river.

Q: What should I wear?
Customary wedding guest attire; there is no dress code. We will be outside unless actively raining/snowing so please wear proper footwear to walk on shaded grass and enjoy the yard games. As hard as we will be praying for sunny and 65°, it's still a Midwest shoulder season. Dress accordingly.
Q: What do you mean "outside?"
The ceremony will be near a large tree on the grounds of the venue with benches arranged on gravel. Please let us know in your RSVP comments if you would like a chair with a backrest for the ceremony (30-40 minutes). There will be yard games to enjoy during the social hour. We will move to the climate controlled barn for dinner and celebration. Should there be inclement weather, the ceremony will be moved into the barn.
Q: Can we walk around the property?
Absolutely! There is a grassy walking path through the prairie. There should be a lovely wildflower backdrop for a picture of the family all dressed up together.
Q: Is the barn accessible?
The barn is two levels with bathrooms on the ground level. An ADA compliant elevator is available. Please let us know in your RSVP if you need any additional mobility considerations.
Q: Can I bring my kids?
If we are able to accommodate your children it will be indicated as such on your invitation. Please RSVP with all names. There is plenty of space for the kids to run and play after the ceremony so feel free to dress them appropriately to do so, or bring a change of clothes. There is a river and pond nearby and accessible from the property. Please keep an eye on the littles. Neither the couple nor the venue are responsible for accidents. Please note there may be explicit music later in the evening.
Q: Can I bring a +1?
We ask that only those that have a +1 indicated on their invitation bring a partner. Please RSVP with both parties!
Q: Free beer?
Unfortunately no. There is a full bar that will take cash, card, tap to pay and can maintain tabs. We graciously request that you do not buy drinks for the bride. Please tip the bartenders!
Q: What's the driving situation?
A shuttle is available for Microtell Inn - Moorhead guests for the duration of the event or Uber from other hotels will cost around $25. If you choose to drive yourself, the venue is located on a well-maintained gravel road, easily navigated to with Google Maps, and plenty of parking available. Please stay safe! Vehicles can be left overnight but must be picked up by noon Saturday.
Q: How long do I have to stay?
While we would love for you to stay and celebrate with us all evening, you are free to leave whenever you feel ready. We are foregoing some traditions such as the dollar dance, cake cutting and bouquet/garter toss so if one of those is usually your cue to head out, you'll be there until last call.
Q: Why is your wedding so far away and on a Friday?
Much of Brent's family lives in the Bismarck/Mandan, ND area and much of Megan's family lives in the Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN area, so our home in Fargo/Moorhead is the best midpoint. Choosing a Friday afforded us several extra benefits of the venue. While we would love to see you on our day, we understand this may make it difficult for some to attend.
