Brent Keller

Brent was born and raised in Mandan, North Dakota by Jim and Marilyn Keller. He spent most of his childhood days with his brother, Craig, on the Lohstreter family dairy farm running through the vast prairie, riding BMX bikes and shooting farm rodents.  After high school he moved to Fargo, ND to attend North Dakota State University and obtain his Bachelors in Environmental Design.  Brent has worked in the field his entire career and currently is a Commercial Project Manager/Estimator at JT Lawn and Landscape in Moorhead, MN.  Being fluent in Spanish, he is also a translator and crew lead for the summer laborers that come up from Mexico on the H2-B visa program.

Brent's hobbies and interests include Notre Dame Fighting Irish football, riding mountain bikes and weight lifting, as well as calling out the scientific name for every species of tree in the Midwest.

Megan Ehrenberg

Megan was born and raised in Minnesota by Chuck and Mary Beth Ehrenberg with the majority of time just North of Fergus Falls.  Her adolescence was filled with many similar activities as Brent, exchanging the vast ND prairie for heavily wooded lakes country. After high school, she moved to Fargo, ND to attend NDSU and study Management Information Systems.  She has worked most of her career in health care information technology and currently works from home for Optum Insight, supporting Boulder Community Health in Colorado.  She loves the remote-work lifestyle but perhaps not as much as her dog, Maddie, loves having her home all day.

Megan's hobbies include lifting weights, Minnesota Wild hockey and tending (and adding) to her numerous house plants.   She has one biological child, Ben, that she gave up for open adoption in 1999.  The family she chose for him had previously adopted their daughter, Miranda, who has become like a daughter for Megan as well.

How we came together

Brent and Megan met through an online dating app called Tinder. They chatted through the app for several weeks before exchanging phone numbers and texting for a few more. On September 9, 2020 they met in person for the first time at Thunder Coffee in downtown West Fargo and proceeded to spend a little time with one another each day that Labor Day weekend, including when Brent took Megan out for her first ever mountain bike ride.  At one point, a tricky curve in the trail forced Megan to bail off the bike and in a valiant attempt to stay on her feet, she ran straight through a large patch of cockleburs, emerging on the other side covered from head to toe.  While Megan's leggings never recovered from the plethora of burs, the experience still cemented her love for trail riding and cockleburs continue to be a symbol of how Brent and Megan's relationship began with adventure and laughter.

On December 9, 2024, Brent insisted that despite it being 40° and the area no longer having much snow, they needed to get the winter fat-tire bikes out to celebrate Global Fat Bike Day.   At the top of a hill, Brent dismounted his bike and got down on one knee, with a mutual friend and professional photographer hiding in the bushes to capture it all.  No one is entirely sure if Brent had a chance to get the full question out before Megan exuberantly said "Yes!"

Brent and Megan have built a life of bikes, powerlifting, plants, trees and love and couldn't be more thrilled to be committing to one another in front of God and each of you.
